Two children drown

Two children drowned in a pond at Bhomordah village in Monirampur upazila yesterday morning.
The victims were identified as Sadia Akter, 5, daughter of Mafizur Rahman and Eva Rahman, 6, daughter of Habibur Rahman of the village.
Sources said Sadia and Eva without the knowledge of their family members went to take bath in a nearby pond of their house early in the morning and went missing.
In Gaibandha, a 6-year-old girl was killed in a wall collapse at Harinsingha village in Sadar upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Afrin Akter, daughter of Raja Mia of the village.
Locals said, while Afrin was playing near her house in the morning the wall
of an under-construction building suddenly collapsed on her leaving her dead on the spot.
