Inmate dies in Ctg jail

A prisoner died after falling from the staircase of the fourth floor at Chittagong Central Jail yesterday.
Nurul Amin, 40, the deceased, was an under-trial accused in a murder case filed with Double Mooring Police Station in the port city, said Deputy Jailor Enayet Ullah.
He hailed from Mollarhat of Bagerhat district.
Nurul suddenly slipped and fell while coming downstairs from the fourth floor around 11:20am. He suffered serious injuries in the head
The victim was given primary treatment by the prison doctors, Enayet said. As his health condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead around 12:00pm.
