Bangladeshi found dead in S'pore
A Bangladeshi worker and a Filipino woman were found dead in a hotel in Singapore Sunday night.
Sumon, 22, was found dead along with Rezzilyn Lodia Vinegas, 33, a maid, in a second-floor room of Summer Hotel in Geylang. They had stab wounds in their necks, arms and legs, Singapore's daily The Straits Times reported yesterday.
The first secretary (labour) to the Bangladesh Embassy in Singapore said the body was sent to Bangladesh on a Bangladesh Biman flight on Tuesday.
Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training Director (welfare) Mohsin Chowdhury said Sumon was the son of Nafisuddin, hailing from Bhadreswary of Ranishankail in Thakurgaon.
According to The Straits Times, Singapore police have classified the deaths as unnatural and are investigating the deaths.
