Later, the Rab team found bullet-injured Mintu while all his associates managed to flee the scene, said Walid Md Saifullah, deputy director of Rab's Legal and Media Wing.
Mintu was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 1:30am Wednesday, the Rab official said.
The Rab men recovered a pistol and three sharp weapons from his possession, said Saifullah.
