Porn CDs, books seized; 7 held

Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested seven people and seized a large number of porn CDs and books from their possession in New Market area of the port city yesterday.
The police seized 1,600 CDs and 100 books from the arrestees.
The arrestees are Md Jainal, 21, Sheikh Sadi, 24, Md Oasim, 19, Mohidul Islam, 26, Badshah, 22, Jinnat, 20, and Md Sohel, 18.
Assistant Commissioner of DB of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Tanvir Arafat told The Daily Star that acting on a tip-off, the DB Police conducted the drive in New Market area at around 3:00pm and arrested the seven.
