Premier League returns today
The Dhaka Premier Cricket League resumes today at three different venues after a five-day break.
The fourth round had been scheduled to begin on January 8, but it was postponed by three days to make some players available for the Bangladesh A team who are now playing a five-match one-day series against visiting England Lions.
In today's fourth round encounters, the focus will be on the match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Victoria Sporting Club to be held at the Fatullah Cricket Stadium; it is not only because dashing opener Tamim Iqbal returns to action from a one-match suspension but also because of the pre-transfer drama involving one official who made sure country's two big names Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim would be joining Victoria from Mohammedan.
Victoria maintained an all-win record by winning the previous three matches while Mohammedan won two games out of three.
In the day's other matches, Abahani take on Surjo Torun at BKSP and Gazi Tank meet Kalabagan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
