Schoolteacher murdered after rape in Rangpur

Criminals killed a schoolteacher after rape in Badarganj upazila of the district on Saturday night.
The victim, Altafunnahar Belly, 33, was a teacher of Razarampur Naopara Registered Primary School.
Victim's husband Zahidul Haque said he entered the house at about 11:00pm and found Belly's body lying on the bed at her room.
On information, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Zahidul said criminals killed his wife after gang rape and took away gold ornaments, mobile set and Tk 7,000.
Belly's brother filed a murder case with Badarganj Police Station yesterday morning, said Tobarak Hossain, officer in-charge of the police station. No one was arrested as of filing of this report at 6:00pm yesterday.
