Eight suspected drug peddlers arrested

Police and Rab in separate drives arrested eight suspected drug peddlers along with hemp, phensidyl, Indian liquor and a car from different parts of the city early yesterday.
The arrestees are Marjina Begum, Mahibul Hossain, Shahin Miah, Mohar Ali, Rafique, Shohag Miah, Sujon Pal and Rafiqul Islam.
Assistant Police Commissioner Abu Sayem said they seized private car came from Satkhira and arrested Marjina and Mahibul with 295 bottles of phensidyl.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-6) recovered 526 bottles of phensidyl and 800 grams of hemp from Dalutpur area in the city and arrested Shahin, Mohar, Rafique and Shohag.
In another drive, police arrested Sujon and Rafiqul from Lower Jessore road with five bottles of Indian wine at around 1:45am.
