Two shot by robbers

Two people were severely wounded as robbers shot them at village Jitpur in Sonagazi upazila early yesterday.
The injured were Harimohon Karmaker, 65 and his son Ratan Karmaker, 43, of Motiganj of the upazila.
Sonagazi police said around 25 robbers broke into the house of Haripado Karmakar and attacked Harimohon Karmaker.
They shot Ratan Karmakar as he tried to protect his father Harimohon. Hearing cry for help, locals rushed to the house but the robbers blasted two cocktails and fled.
The injured were rushed to Feni Sadar Hospital and later Ratan was shifted to Apollo Hospital in the capital.
