Housewife 'kills herself'

A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Adabar of the city yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Shila Akhter, 24, wife of Jahangir Alam.
Police recovered her body from the house at Mansurabad Housing around 1:30pm.
Police said they broke open the door of the room where they found the body hanging from a ceiling fan with a scarf.
Quoting the husband, the SI said Jahangir borrowed money from Billal Hossain who was sublet a room by them a year ago.
In the morning, Billal came to his house while he was not at home and asked for the money from Shila.
At one stage, Billal and Shila locked into an altercation over the issue and she allegedly took her life after Billal left the house.
