Abdul Malek Bir Pratik

Senior warrant officer (retd) Abdul Malek Bir Pratik, also a freedom fighter, passed away at Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka on Saturday, says an ISPR press release.
He was buried with state honour at the city's Banani military graveyard yesterday after his namaz-e-janaza at Dhaka Cantonment.
Brigadier General Muhammad Moazzem Hossain placed wreaths at his grave on behalf of the army chief.
Malek fought at Sector 3 during the War of Liberation and was honoured with the title of Bir Protik.
