Tk 15 lakh looted from RMG office in Ctg

Burglars looted Tk 15 lakh in cash from a garment factory office at Dewan Hat in the port city early yesterday.
Sources said burglars broke open the locker of Newtack Garments Limited only about 200 yards from the Double Mooring Police Station around 2.00am yesterday.
Police suspect that the security guards might have been involved in the burglary as one of the guards named Jewel is absconding since yesterday, they said.
Double Mooring Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam said police detained three people for interrogation.
They are Enayet Ullah, 60, a staff of a security firm, Belal Hossain, 35, a security guard of the factory and one Nurul Islam, 60, all hailing from Lakshmipur, said police.
