Admiral Willard reaffirms US support for Dhaka

Visiting US Pacific Fleet Commander Admiral Robert F Willard has reaffirmed US support for Bangladesh in the wake of cyclone Sidr.
He completed a two-day visit to Bangladesh yesterday. His visit was at the invitation of the Bangladesh Navy, said a US embassy release.
During his visit, Admiral Willard met Army Chief of Staff General Moeen U Ahmed, Principal Staff Officer Lt General Masud Uddin Chowdhury and Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam.
In the meetings, he also discussed future opportunities for cooperation between US and Bangladesh naval forces.
