Election
There is a lot of hue and cry about re-drawing the territories of the constituencies for election. Although I feel it should be done but this will also take time. It may not be complete in such a short time.
I have another suggestion. Like many countries, why not hold the elections on the basis of the party? All the parties will choose their candidates from the constituencies and make a list by serial on the basis of the importance and standing of the candidate. After election if the party has received 35% of all the votes then they should get 105(35% of total 300) MPs from the list up to the 105th position. This practice is followed in many countries like Sri Lanka, Germany etc.
If two parties get almost similar percentage of the popular votes, one may get 145 seats and the other may get only 95 due to the difference in the populations of the constituencies.
So the present caretaker government, while reforming the election process, may undertake this reform also.
