4-day painting exhibition begins

A four-day exhibition of paintings selected from an international children's painting competition began at the Shilpakala Academy in the city yesterday.
Farida Zaman, former director, Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University inaugurated the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open from 11:00am to 7:00pm everyday from January 13-16.
The paintings were selected from the 6th Grameenphone Zainul-Quamrul International Children's Painting Competition held from June to September 2007.
This bi-annual competition was organised by Gandaria Kisholoy Kachi Kachar Mela.
The competition was open to children aged between 3 to 16 years. A total of 4490 participants from 23 countries took part in the competition.
