Jahangirnagar University Day celebrated

Jahangirnagar University (JU) celebrated the University Day 2008 yesterday with colourful programmes, marking its 37th founding anniversary.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khandaker Mustahidur Rahman inaugurated the day's programmes in the morning.
The campus wore a festive look as the Day brought together former and present students, employees, officers and teachers.
They also joined a colourful procession, which paraded through the campus.
Addressing a meeting at Muktamancha, VC Mustahidur Rahman highlighted the glorious history of the university and hoped that it would be turned into a premier educational institution with combined efforts of all.
The celebrations were rounded off with a reminiscence session and a cultural function.
