1.5kg cannabis seized, one held

Police arrested a bus passenger with 1.5 kg of cannabis at the City Gate check post in the port city yesterday.
The arrestee was identified as Jhunur Mia, 25, son of Aleem Mia, of Moulvibazar.
Police said acting on a tip-off, police stopped the Dhaka-bound bus of Soudia Paribahan and seized 1.5 kg of contraband cannabis from the possession of Jhunur.
A case was filed with Pahartali Police Station in this connection.
