9 regularised as HC judges
President Zillur Rahman yesterday appointed nine additional judges of the High Court (HC) as regular judges of HC.
They are Justices M Moazzam Husain, Soumendra Sarker, Abu Bakar Siddique, Md Nuruzzaman, Md Moinul Islam Chowdhury, Obaidul Hassan, M Enayetur Rahim, Naima Haider and Md Rezaul Hasan.
They were appointed as additional judges of the HC on June 23, 2009 for a period of two years and were sworn in on June 30 the same year.
The president yesterday confirmed their appointment as regular judges.
The law ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard.
Their confirmation will come into effect from the date of their oath taking as regular HC judges, said a law ministry press release.
