Shariah Board team of Islami banks meets president

A five-member delegation of Central Shariah Board of Islami banks called on President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban yesterday.
The delegation members, led by Chairman of the Shariah Board and Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Maulana Obaidul Haque, apprised the President of the board's activities.
They told the president that now 15 banks are offering Islamic banking, guided by the Shariah Board.
The president assured them of all possible cooperation.
Former vice chancellor of Islamic University Prof Dr M Mustafizur Rahman, former secretary Shah Abdul Hannan, chairman of Dhaka Bank M Azizul Haq and member of the Shariah Board M Mukhlesur Rahman were among the delegation members.
