3 stalkers jailed

Three youths were sentenced to jail for stalking a college girl in Jamalganj upazila under Sunamganj district yesterday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abul Hashem declared four months' jail term to Mujaffar Miah and two months' each to Alal Miah and Rafique Miah.
Earlier, Surotunnesa, mother of the college girl Shamima Akter, lodged a complaint with the UNO, accusing the trio.
In the complaint, Surotunnesa said Mujaffar, Alal and Rafique used to stalk her daughter on her way to school.
UNO asked the accused and the petitioner to appear in his office yesterday. After a hearing, Abul Hashem, also a magistrate, delivered the verdict against the three.
