Bodies of 2 peacekeepers brought home

The bodies of two Bangladeshi peacekeepers, who along with 24 others were killed on April 5 in a plane crash at Kinshasa airport in Congo, arrived in Dhaka yesterday.
Mohammad Nur Islam, assistant director of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), told The Daily Star that an Emirates flight brought the bodies of Maj KM Ziaul Haque and Corporal Clerk Md Yunus Mian to Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport from Congo.
Army personnel received the bodies. The bodies will be buried at Banani graveyard in the capital today, said Nur Islam. Family members of the deceased will be present at the funerals.
News agency Associated Press (AP) following the crash said the UN plane carrying its staff and peacekeepers crashed while landing at the airport in Congo's capital. It broke into pieces and claimed 26 out of 32 passengers. The flight was travelling from Kisangani to Kinshasa.
