What a shame!
It is a matter of great pride and honour that a part of World Cup Cricket 2011 is being held in Bangladesh. Nobody can deny that it is a great occasion for our nation known to many as a poor one fighting against natural calamities, wide spread corruption, over population and illiteracy. This World Cup Cricket has brought an opportunity for us to show the world that like others we have also our own culture, heritage and natural beauties.
What happened in the opening ceremony was a shame for the nation. The organisers should have realised that Bangladesh was not liberated to be used by other nation(s) to serve their interest. To be more specific, we, as a nation, are grateful to our neighbour India for their help in our Liberation War, but they should refrain from using Bangladesh in a way that reflects their national narrowness. It is the duty of our government to look after our national image.
