Woman killed, nine injured in clash

An elderly woman was killed while nine others injured in two clashes over land dispute at Baharampur Charvita and Damon villages in Haripur upazila yesterday.
Jolimon, 85, wife of late Shahamon Ali of the same village, died at Haripur Health Complex. Police arrested Mizanur and Kamal.
The first clash ensued when one Mizanur and his accomplices went to plough on a land that is also claimed by his cousin Inul. Both groups attacked each other with lethal weapons leaving nine people including the elderly woman seriously injured, said police.
