Tangail Udichi anniversary celebrations

Tangail district unit of Udichi Shilpi Ghosthi observed its 42nd anniversary on Saturday with the theme 'Droher Binai Uthuk Beje Asur Nashee Gaan'.
A cultural function and discussion were organised at Tangail Shaheed Minar premises in the evening to mark the day.
Artistes of Udichi Tangail, Bhuapur, Ghatail and Karotia Sangsad performed songs, dances and gave a poetry recital. Sirajul Islam Lizu, Maria Akter Mou, Sanwar Hossain, Sharifa Iasmin, Atiqur Rahman and Setu performed at the programme.
Earlier, a discussion was held, presided over by Professor Debashish De, vice-president of Tangail Udichi. District unit general secretary of the organisation Khandakar Nuruzzaman Swapan presented the welcome speech.
Among others, advisers of Tangail Udichi Professor Nazir Hossain, Habibur Rahman Talukder (Bir Protik) and retired Principal Tapan Kumar Bordhon, and Khandakar Moniruzzaman, vice-president of Tangail Udichi, and general secretary of Bangabandhu Education and Research Association Abdur Razzak also addressed the gathering.
