Ajgor clinches special chess nat'l title

Ajgor Ali emerged unbeaten champion in the Grameenphone 8th National Special Chess title yesterday after defeating Mir in the final round at the NSC conference room.
Ajgor collected maximum seven points in the four-day meet to dethrone last year's champion Kamal Hossain, who became runner-up with six points. Mohammed Nazmul, who also bagged six points, was third after losing in the tiebreakers.
Eleven players finished with five points.
Bangladesh Olympic Association vice-president Mizanur Rahman Manu distributed prizes among the winners as chief guest.
