JFA election ruins Okada's dreams
Japan coach Takeshi Okada, who has talked about becoming a farmer, was elected to the national football association's board Sunday.
He was one of some 25 people elected or re-elected to the board in a vote which also replaced JFA president Motoaki Inukai with FIFA executive board member Junji Ogura.
"I have recommended Okada for his concern about environmental problems," Ogura said. Okada told a football magazine that he would retire to become a "farmer", reading books when it rains and working the land when the sun shines.
