Ministry of Defence inaugurated tree plantation programme yesterday, says an ISPR release.
Defense Secretary Khandaker M Asaduzzaman inaugurated the programme by planting a Rose-apple tree at the ministry premises.
All the departments and organisations under the Ministry of Defence chalked out an elaborate programme of tree plantation.
The programme includes planting of herbal, fruit bearing, shade giving and other varieties of trees having timber value.
Joint Secretary Brig Gen Mohammad Towfiqul Anam and Joint Secretary Khaleda Parvin were present.
