23 shops gutted in Chandpur, 20 injured

At least 23 shops were gutted and 20 people injured in a devastating fire that broke out at Shachar Bazaar in Kachua upazilla on Tuesday night.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a grocery shop and soon engulfed the adjoining shops of the area.
On information, fire fighters from Kachua upazila headquarters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after three hours of hectic efforts.
Some 20 people injured while trying to extinguish the blaze were rushed to a local hospital.
