Painting workshop at Shilpakala Academy
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has organised a two -week long painting workshop. The workshop is now on at the Training Department Centre of the academy. Eminent painter Aminul Islam inaugurated the workshop.
Prominent painter Ranjit Das is conducting the workshop that ends tomorrow. Sarkar Zia Uddin is the coordinator of the workshop. Participating painters are Prodout Kumar Das, Biplob Goswami, Aowlad Hussain, Mohammad Tarikul Islam, Taslima Akhter, Tapan Kumar, Farida Sultana, Sharmin Zaman, Mohammad Javed Russell, Mohammad Kamruzzoha, Hira Rani Bishwas, Shahidul Islam Khan and others.
Ranjit Das said, ““I have been introduced to many unknown artists through the workshop. I think, idea and contemplation are very important when creating something novel and refreshing. I like to focus on colours, composition, texture and overall techniques. Such workshops are essential for promising painters in our country and help them to share many ideas under a common roof."
At the workshop, some artists have a tendency for experimentation, where colours, textures and tones have been handled from different point of views. The artists' works denote natural beauty, folk tradition, rainy season, tranquil beauty, raw landscapes, human emotions and inner visions, the pain and agony of human beings.
