Nazrul exponents Shudhin Das, Sohrab Hossain, Dr. Rafiqul Islam and Ferdousi Rahman at the album launch.

To celebrate the 87th birth anniversary of veteran Nazrul singer Sohrab Hossain, a programme was held at the Dance and Music auditorium, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on April 16. Leading Nazrul singers and exponents of the country attended the event and congratulated Sohrab Hossain on the occasion.
Two new albums were also launched on the occasion. The album -- "Ghar Bhulano Shurey" is an album of Nazrul songs by Rawshan Ara Shoma. The second one titled "Shradhhanjali", a tribute to Sohrab Hossain, from his daughters Rawhan Ara Shoma and Rahat Ara Geeti. The album includes ten modern songs set to tune by Sohrab Hossain. The albums have been released under the banner of Laser Vision.
Among others Nazrul exponent Shudhin Das, Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Ferdousi Rahman, Ismat Ara, Shahin Samad and Nashid Kamal, were present on the occasion.
A cultural programme followed the CD launch.
