Live performance by Shayan on “Call-er Gaan” tonight

Singer-songwriter-musician Shayan will be performing tonight at 11:45 pm on the Desh TV musical show “Call-er Gaan”. She will be with music enthusiasts till 2 am, performing her songs that have won accolades for their unique razor sharp wit and heart-rending truth.
The artiste talked about performing live on TV:
Shayan: It is very interactive. There is no alternative to live music.
You have been on live shows before. Any signs of stage fright?
Shayan: There is definitely a certain amount of it that stays with you forever -- but once the calls come, and you get in to the mood of adda, all those other feelings gets dissolved. The ambience becomes more homely, and I begin to feel more at ease.
Shayan's other side -- teaching A-level Law -- runs parallel to her musical career. “There is a lot of flexibility in this field,” she added. Classes begin from the middle of this month. She said she has no plan to practice law fulltime. “It will not be possible, after all that I do, as it requires a lot of time -- it's another career. I would have to lead double lives then!”
She will be performing in Chittagong on the 13th of this month, celebrating the Bengali New Year.
