Posters on Amar Ekushey, liberation war published
Two informative posters on the Amar Ekushey and the historic liberation war were published recently in an effort to project the true history to the young generation.
Classic Products, a publishing house, has published the posters titled '21 at a Glance' and '71 at a Glance', which were researched and designed by journalist and researcher Ferdous Arefin.
The posters display the true history of the language movement and the liberation war in photographs accompanied by short notes chronologically.
“It is necessary to mention here that February 21 is being observed as International Mother Language Day in 192 countries across the world. It is our duty to make people of those countries aware of our great language movement in details,” said Arefin in a statement.
“Likewise, it's also our duty to display the worst ever genocide of 1971 before the world,” he added.
The poster on Amar Ekushey displays events starting from September 1947 to February 21, 2000, the day when February 21 was observed as the international day for the first time worldwide, chronologically.
Similarly, the poster on the historic liberation war displays events starting from January 1971 to December 1971 chronologically.
The English version of the posters will be brought out soon.
