Wife'killed', husband commits 'suicide'

A housewife has been beheaded at her husband's house at Irta village under Singair upazila of Manikganj.
Police recovered the body of Sharmin Akter,20, daughter of Abdur Rahman of Paril village yesterday morning.
Later, Darus Salam police in Dhaka also recovered the body of her husband Shiplu Khan who suspected to have committed suicide from a room of a hotel in the capital city's Daksmin Bishil area yesterday afternoon.
Father of Sharmin Abdur Rahman filed a case with Singair police station accusing Shiplu of murder.
He told reporters that Shiplu killed his daughter for dowry.
Sharmin's family gave Shiplu Tk 2 lakh for buying a motorbike as dowry two months ago, he said.
Shiplu used to torture Sharmin for more money, the victim's family members alleged.
