Suicide bomber kills 4 in Iraq
A suicide bomber slammed his explosives-laden car into a court compound in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi yesterday, killing at least four people, a police officer told AFP.
The attack in the city's Al-Warar neighbourhood, which also houses a popular market, wounded another six people, police Lieutenant Colonel Muthanna Haza'a said.
He said the bomber drove into the compund and police guarding the court opened fire.
"The bomber still managed to drive into the car park which is in the court compound and blew up the vehicle. Four people were killed in the explosion, including a woman," Haza'a told AFP.
He said police had imposed a curfew in the neighbourhood and had also sealed all exit roads from the capital.
