Filmmakers along with National Film Archives Alumni Association formed a human chain yesterday demanding immediate implementation of the National Film Archives project and construction of own building at its designated plot in Agargaon in the city.
Filmmakers Tareque Masud, Morshedul Islam, rare film collector Syed Abdul Ahad, Alumni members and members of Chalatchhitra Sangsad attend the programme at the designated plot of the archive in Agargaon.
Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) a couple of days back embarked on construction of a road across the plot.
"We want the DCC to stop its move and the government to implement the archives project immediately," said Tareque Masud.
