Ex-BNP MP Monju sent to jail

A court in Kishoreganj yesterday sent former BNP lawmaker Mojibur Rahman Monju to jail denying fail in Union Parishad chairman Taher Uddin Tahu murder case in Bajitpur.
Magistrate Abu Taher Md Sayeed passed the order.
Manju was elected from Kishoreganj-6 (Bajitpur-Nikly) constituency in last parliamentary election.
Taher Uddin Tahu was killed at Hilochia Bazar in Bajitpur on October 10 last year. His wife Jotsna filed the murder case with Bajitpur police station on the same day accusing 22 people including former lawmaker Mojibur Rahman Monju. She alleged that Monju was the "mastermind" behind the murder and Bajitpur upazila BNP secretary Fazal was the "gang leader" of the killers.
