Paul Jewell, the manager who took Wigan into the Premiership and kept them there, has ruled out a return to the Premier League club as they battle for survival in the top flight.
Wigan are looking for a new boss after the dismissal of Chris Hutchings last week and club owner Dave Whelan had approached Jewell about a return to the job he left at the end of last season.
