Hockey team keep winning
Bangladesh hockey team once again defeated Italy in a practice match, this time by a 5-3 scoreline in Rome on Tuesday. It was a come-from-behind victory for them that followed their 4-2 victory over the same opponents on Sunday.
Bangladesh staged a tremendous fight-back after going down 3-1 in the first half. Once again in this match, the defense held out strong and they gave away only one goal from six penalty corners conceded. After falling behind, Bangladesh drew level through Krishnan. Then they conceded two more goals. However, Chayan scored a brace in quick time to restore parity once again. Then Nanu and Biplob scored two late goals to give Bangladesh a deserving victory over a team that ranks much higher than them in IHF ranking.
The players of the Bangladesh team have taken part in German hockey league and that seem to have had a big impact on their performance. Bangladesh team played against club sides in Holland before coming to Italy. From there they will be going to the Czech Republic where they will take on the Czech national side.
