City road crashes kill 3 women, injure 50

Three women were killed and 50 others injured in separate road accidents on Dhaka-Ashulia highway in the city yesterday.
One of the deceased was identified as Fatema Begum, 22, while identities of two others aged about 25 and 40 could not be known immediately.
An unidentified woman was killed when two buses collide head-on at Baipail at 9:00pm, injuring 50 passengers of both the buses. Both the buses fell into the roadside ditch.
Locals rushed the injured to nearby hospital.
A speeding passenger bus hit Fatema, leaving her dead on the spot while she was crossing the Dhaka-Ashulia road at 8:00 in the morning.
Meanwhile, a passenger bus hit an unidentified woman on the same road at Sreepur, leaving her dead on the spot while she was crossing the road at 2:30pm.
