Security forces arrested three Afghan journalists for travelling to a Taliban stronghold in southern Afghanistan, media workers said yesterday after the reporters were released from two days' detention.
The journalists were from the Kabul-based private television station Ariana, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) media group and a local radio station, representatives of Ariana TV and an Afghan media rights group said.
