BCB names U-16 squad
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming home series against England Under-19 and Zimbabwe Under-19 in October and November as part of their preparation for the ICC Under-19 World Cup to be held in New Zealand in January next year.
All-rounder Mahmudul Hasan, who has the experience of playing the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008 and also leading the side in the one-day series win against England earlier this year, has been named captain while left-handed batsman Amit Majumder will be his deputy for the two series.
The England U-19s are scheduled to arrive in the capital on October 8. The series starts with a four-dayer over October 16-19 in Chittagong followed by seven 50-overs matches between October 23 and November 4 at Chittagong, Fatullah and Mirpur.
The Zimbabwe U-19s then come here to play five one-day matches between November 13 and November 21.
