Doctors' Association of Bangladesh (DAB) leaders yesterday submitted nomination papers of their panel to contest the upcoming election of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) scheduled to be held on November 5, says a press release.
The association selected Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, who is now in jail, as its candidate for the post of secretary general.
In a statement, Dr MM Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, acting secretary general of DAB, said they would work for development of the country's health sector and vowed to rid it of corruption.
