Architect Louis I Khan wanted to make a poetic entity out of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban complex. It took 23 years to build, the same as the Taj Mahal. The parliament complex embodies the essence of Bangladesh. But the original design of the county's architectural masterpiece has been seriously interfered with through construction of fences on the south and north-east. After such acts drew criticism, the housing and public works minister told parliament on Monday that the master plan would be restored by removing the unplanned installations. The photo was taken yesterday. Photo: Amran Hossain
