MJF condemns Sabita Chakma's murder

Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) yesterday condemned the killing of indigenous woman Sabita Chakma and demanded justice in the incident.
Expressing grave concern over recurrence of such violence in Chittagong Hill Tracts, the rights body called for immediate steps to put an end to human rights violation there.
Sabita, 30, was allegedly murdered after rape at Chengi Char in Khagrachhari sadar upazila on February 15.

Her husband, Debaratan Chakma, later filed a case with Khagrachhari Police Station accusing one truck driver, Mohammad Nizam, and four others.
