- At 4:00pm, the 2nd East Bengal Battalion completes their rally work in Mymensingh. They gather together and pledge their support for Bangladesh and this congregation is convened by Major KM Saifullah.
- Pakistan Bahini congregates outside the Chittagong cantonment near the Medical college and surrounding areas and launches their first attack in the evening in which they lost to the Mukti Bahini.
- In the evening, Bangabandhu is flown via helicopter from the cantonment to the Tejgaon Airport. After which via a special aircraft of the military he is flown to Karachi.
- At night, about 100 Bangladeshi EPR men are separated from the President House by the Pakistan Military and barbarically murdered near the Ramna Kalibaari.
