Man missing in boat capsize

An elderly man went missing and at least five other passengers were injured when a speedboat overturned near Magurkanda channel in Padma River on Sunday night.
The missing man is Lal Mia Faraji of Pashchim Tentulia village under Palong police station of Shariatpur.
Mohammad Ali, brother of Lal Mia, said the speed boat carrying 18 passengers, started its journey from Majhikandi of Shariatpur. The speedboat overturned during a strong wave near Magurkanda channel.
Most of the passengers were rescued by nearby boatmen while Lal Mia remained missing, Ali said.
