GRADIENT LIPS 

Initiated by Koreans, this is a lipstick trick that makes your lips look smaller, giving you a youthful and natural look. Start off with lipstick only on the inner sides of the lips, slowly blending them out, so as to create a gradient. Lastly take some concealer and dab on the outer corners to fade out the colour a little more. This is usually done with lip tints or stains, but any lipstick would do. 

OMBRÉ LIPS

This is quite the opposite of a gradient lip, where the lips are made to look bigger and plumper, and using two shades of lipstick.  First of all, the lips are outlined with a dark shade of liner, then filled in with dark shade of regular, or matte liquid lipstick. This should be followed by applying another layer of lighter colour on the insides, and blending the two shades out 

by the slightest, creating an ombré effect!
