Farhana Chaity is the next makeup artist to keep an eye out for, who although is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she works as a makeup artist for Feminine Magazine, does travel back and forth to Dhaka for work purposes.
Popularly known for her K-Pop inspired looks, she has achieved quite a lot in a short amount of time from acquiring a Diploma in Versatile Makeup from MBC Beauty Academy, Seoul, Korea and completing an Advanced Hair Styling Course from Hair Zone Studio by Michael Poh, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to becoming the Gold Medal Winner (Wedding Make up Category) at the Global Beauty Expo-2017 Seoul Korea.
As she did her magic, she talked about some of the most basic things to keep in mind when doing make up, especially with the ever-rising temperatures of the season.
“To prevent sweating, especially in the facial area, simply switch for products that are oil free or have a matte finish. Cushion foundation is a kind of foundation that most brands carry, and is perfect for the current weather in Dhaka as it is light and prevents the formation of dark patches,” she said, and emphasised on the importance of having a strong contour game. “After all, it is what brings the entire look full circle with the proper techniques of blending, and mixing, based on the features of the face to give that soft natural look,” Chaity concluded. And for those who feel like having evenly shaped lined eyes is a feat as it is, let alone contouring, Chaity suggested a more natural look starting with primer, light foundation, sun block, loose powder, a little bit of blush and minimal eye liner and mascara. “The natural look can very easily be translated into an evening one just by revving up those eyes, making them more dramatic, and some bronzer”, Chaity said.
In order to keep your skin healthy in this season, it is crucial to always wash your face three to four times a day, in addition to always using a moisturiser serum and toner that suits your skin.
Say no to long summer days with the heat winning the war against your foundation, as it slides around your face and that perfect winged liner sprouts another wing either above or below where it is supposed to be. No more surrendering to the aptly coloured white facial tissue, and just keep grinning with Chaity's tips- “Take that summer humidity!”
