Le Reve's Pahela Baishakh Collection

Pahela Baishakh is one of the most important cultural festivals for Bengalis, celebrated with much pomp and fervour. To celebrate this occasion, Le Reve has designed a wide range of clothing for men, women and children.

The Le Reve Baishakh Collection, based on the theme of 'Mongol Shobhajatra' - the colourful procession held on Pahela Baishakh - is full of traditional and ethnic elements, with a mix of colouring techniques, further accentuated by embroidery effects and other embellishments. 

Traditional Baishakhi motifs have been used in shalwar kameez sets, kurtas, panjabis and fatuas, using karchupi on fabrics along with tie n' dye, batik, block prints, along with hand and machine embroidery. The Collection is inspired by 'LA Isla Cuban' styling, which merges with tropical references. 

Monnujan Nargis, Director, Design and Creative, Le Reve, presents the latest collection with tailoured shapes, as free-flowing fabrics prevail. Joyful patterns and bold hues live side by side with sun-faded pastels and time-honoured styling. 

Along with the customary red and white, the designers of Le Reve have also used deep aqua, teal, red, lava, juniper green, marigold, and apricot – shades that are trending internationally as summer colours. Keeping the summer heat in mind, cotton and mixed blends have been used. 

Along with all the Baishakhi designs Le Reve has introduced new styling in men's and women's trousers, from culottes to palazzos, and harems. 

New colours and styling in pants - style pyjamas, more varieties in dhoti pyjamas, etc. are also being put into limelight this season. Le Reve is bringing these trendy trousers along with printed shirts for men and trendy tunics for women.
