THE FOOD
Habiby's food is a unique fusion of Middle Eastern and Bengali cuisines, with influences of traditional Mediterranean styles. When asked about the signature dish, the house recommendation was the classic gyro over rice and classic super shawarma.
The classic gyro over rice is served elegantly with thin, finely sliced pieces of chicken over rice, surrounded by perfectly roasted kababs, falafels, and fresh salads. One of Habiby's specialties is their sauce. The mixture of the perfect blend of white and red sauce is what will make this dish go boom.
The mysterious sweet-sour-tangy white sauce that just has to be ladled all over the chicken and rice for true street-style authenticity for Arabian food. The white sauce mixed with the red sauce is every dish's must-have complement.
As for the shawarma, the most famous Middle Eastern sandwich, which comes wrapped with beautifully spliced and spiced meat commonly cooked on a rotating skewer and filled into a flatbread, along with vegetables and pickles, will definitely surprise you.
The classic super shawarma here is a combination of chicken/beef with mayonnaise, dressed with a delicious flavouring of mango mint, a rare mango chutney sauce. Quantity wise, both dishes are enough for two people to eat.
